About the academy

What this is

Mewing Academy is eight Seasons of ninety days each. Season One trains three habits: the tongue on the palate, lips sealed, air through the nose. Seasons Two to Eight build on them: chewing and the muscles of the face, reading your own face honestly, the airway at night, an audit of what changed and when to see someone, and at the end teaching what you learned to someone else. A belt marks the end of each Season, earned by self-report. The whole thing takes two years if you do a page a day, and nobody does.

Where the method comes from

Dr. John Mew, a London orthodontist, spent fifty years arguing that the position of the tongue and the way a child breathes shape the face, and that treatment should start with posture rather than extraction. His son Mike Mew carried the argument on, and the word for the practice took his name. We built the academy on that lineage and we grade it: what is established, what is plausible, where we stay neutral, and what we say is false. The register is public. Mike Mew introduces each Season in a short film and does not teach inside the course.

Who we are

A small team who did the two years ourselves before we wrote them down. We write as we because the academy is the work, not a person, and we would rather you judge the pages than a face. Guest modules from clinicians and coaches will be added to the library under their own names, with their own evidence lines, sold separately from the Season Pass.

What we will not promise

A jawline. A face changed in weeks. A replacement for orthodontics or surgery you were advised to have. Any change to adult bone at all: nobody has shown one in a controlled study, nobody has ruled one out, and we sell neither answer. If a page here ever reads like that, write to us and we will fix it.

What it costs and how to reach us

The Season Pass is one subscription for all eight Seasons, with the first seven days free. Cancel before Day 8 and nothing is charged; cancel later and you keep access to the end of the period you paid for. Questions, refunds and anything a page got wrong go to [email protected], and we answer them ourselves, usually within two working days.
