Addendum — GDPR Notice for EU/EEA Members

Added July 2026. This addendum supplements the policy above for users in the EU/EEA, where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. Where wording differs, this addendum prevails for EU/EEA users.

B1. Data controller

The data controller is Mewing Academy (operated from France). Contact for all privacy matters: the email address in Section 12. We act as controller; our platform provider Kajabi, our payment processors, and our email provider act as processors on our documented instructions.

B2. Legal bases for processing

We process personal data on the following bases: performance of contract — account, course access, community features, payments; consent — newsletter and marketing emails, non-essential cookies (withdrawable at any time, as easily as it was given); legitimate interests — service security, fraud prevention, aggregate analytics (balanced against your rights); legal obligation — accounting and tax records.

B3. International transfers

Our processors may store data outside the EU/EEA (notably in the United States). Where they do, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details are available on request.

B4. Retention

Account and membership data: for the life of the account and up to 3 years after closure. Billing records: 10 years (French accounting law). Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe. Community content: until you delete it or your account; deletion requests honour Section 8 above.

B5. Your GDPR rights, and where to complain

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, plus the right to withdraw consent at any time — exercised by a plain email, answered within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in France, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or the authority of your country of residence.

B6. No automated decision-making

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Progress photos you upload for your own tracking are yours; no automated facial analysis is performed on them without your separate, explicit, informed consent — and no such feature currently exists in the Services.
